About Delano Bay 2019 - Combined Retreat

“That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.”

We hear that in conversations from time to time. We all grew up hearing stories that either opened up our imagination or helped us to understand the world.

Story is powerful. When a person shares their story, it changes the way we hear them, understand them, and appreciate them. Sharing stories also reminds us to live, breathe, celebrate, and help each other. Jesus used stories to help people understand how God views them and how we should live our lives.

This August, the Missio Church (Seattle), NWChurch (Lynnwood), and Sojourn Campus Ministry (UW) will enjoy a weekend away together exploring how to shape and tell our stories so that we can tell God's story—of which we're a part—in a more accessible way to those who ask about God.

NWChurch is glad to welcome Jared King and the Missio Church, along with Daniel Jarchow and the Sojourn UW Campus Ministry for a weekend at Delano Bay. Our goal is to bring together these three groups into closer fellowship and begin to really get to know each other. We share a similar heritage in faith and believe in working alongside each other for support and mutual encouragement. Jared, Daniel and Chris will lead as a trio for this retreat as we explore the “stories of faith” we need to share and hear.

Friday, August 23 @ 4:00 pm – Sunday, August 25 @ 2:00 pm
